
New or old greasy spot is a real headache! And while there are variety of grease removal products in shops that should help to remove them, but if you are looking for more natural solutions that you can do easily at home and save money at the same – you are at the right place!
TABLE SALT
Grease on your favourite t-shirt can be unpleasing. If you the stain has been on for no longer than 3 hours, table salt is your pick. Dip your stained cloth in a hot water bath and add half a glass of salt. By the way, salt also works well with stains of wine, grass or blood.
GLYCERIN
Glycerin is also said to be an excellent grease remover. Apply it on the stain and leave for 30 minutes. After the specified time, rub with the gauze and rinse with warm water. This method is also suitable for removing ink, wine and rust stains.
POTATO STARCH
Stubborn stains can be no longer a problem if you have potato starch at home. Make a liquid mash by using starch and water and apply mixture on the stain. Leave on for a few hours, then rinse with warm water.
CHALK
Grab chalk as soon as grease is spilled on the clothes. Sprinkle on chalk powder and leave for 2-4 hours. Then wipe away with a brush and rinse as usual. If you don’t have chalk, other alternatives include baby powder, baking soda or talc.
VINEGAR
Vinegar helps to remove greasy stains caused by fish. Add half a glass of vinegar to the bowl and leave the garment for a few hours.
LEMON JUICE
You can also pour freshly squeezed lemon juice on the stain. It is known to be effective at dealing with grease particularly quickly.
EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL
Another unexpected way is eucalyptus essential oil. Apply a few drops on the grease stain and leave for 10-15 minutes. Then wash the clothes in the usual way.
